A goal of the event is to raise awareness of local businesses, local farms and local foods, hence the title locavore - buy local. Our goal is to demonstrate by way of example how important local businesses and local farms are to communities. To accomplish this goal Superior Woodcraft has teamed up with the Doylestown Business Community Alliance (DBCA) for this celebration of community, local business and local food. This networking event will recognize the work of the DBCA and the benefits it creates for the community, none of which would be possible without local businesses and their joint efforts with the community. Local foods and beverages will be served to accent the message with flavor. By creating more public awareness of the importance of local foods and independent businesses we hope to provide economic benefits to the Bucks County business and farm communities. Last year’s event was a success with over 425 people attending and local newspapers provided strong media coverage. Many other groups covered the event via the internet. We continued to receive coverage through last November! This year we are working on creating more pre-event promotional coverage as well as media coverage during the event. We hope you enjoyed last year’s event and benefitted from it. We thank you for your support last year. It wouldn’t have been successful without you and we wouldn’t have been able to have a 3rd Locavore - Buy Local event in 2011. We are hoping we can count on your support again this year. Volunteers will meet at Starbucks in Doylestown for instructions on taking down the snowflake decorations. A 6 foot ladder and any of the following items could be used: cordless drill with an extension and an 8mm hex socket bit, next best thing is a battery operated screwdriver with same extension and bit or a flat head screwdriver.

Located in Doylestown of beautiful & historic Bucks County, PA. This FREE festival takes place in the center of town on State & Main Streets along with West Oakland and Hamilton Streets.
